About WA Fuel

WA Fuel specialises in the distribution of fuel, delivering to a range of industries across Australia requiring bulk fuel.  They offer onsite refuelling and fuel tank supply, delivery and maintenance, to the agriculture, transport, mining, construction and retail industries.  With fewer than ten years of operation, they have seen rapid growth since their inception.  The company has grown from a zero-turnover startup to having 30 trucks on the road in 2024 and close to half a billion dollars in turnover.

Business Challenges

WA Fuel has been working with Brentnalls WA for more than four years now.  Prior to engaging Brentnalls WA, they had seen rapid growth and early success.  They knew that if they were going to continue to grow and operate at that level, they would need to bring in an external advisor with a proactive and holistic approach to help with their overall strategy, working towards their vision and ensuring their growth was positive and driven in the right direction.

Brentnalls WA implemented their Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process with the team at WA Fuel Supplies, which involved taking time to understand their current strategy, vision and goals and then implementing an in-depth quarterly meeting to review their business performance and financial results.  The Brentnalls WA team provided them with a key strategy and clear vision for moving forward and highlighting the tools they need to get them there.

Over the years, the Brentnalls team has got involved in more parts of the business, with less focus on some areas and more focus on others. They now run Advisory Board Meetings to continue to support WA Fuel Supplies’ strategic growth.  The team’s breadth of experience has allowed WA Fuel management to draw on that experience across different organisations and industries, to have confidence that the business is going in the right direction and that their strategy is going to work.
